Library Procedures
-
Each class will visit the library for a lesson and check-out once per week.
 -
Students may come to the library to check-out books only during open check-out time with teacher permission.
 -
Students are allowed to check out two books at a time. Kindergarten students will only check out one book at a time at the beginning of the year. Student's Birthday Book Club books or books for an assigned class project are exceptions.
 -
Books may be checked out for a two week period and renewed once for an additional two weeks, so long as there are not any holds for the book.
 -
Students in grades 3-5 may place a book on hold, if the book is already checked out.
 -
One of the books that students select should be in their grade level or their AR independent reading level, if known.
 -
There are no overdue fees, however, students will not be able to check out additional books until they are returned.
 -
If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, the student will be responsible for paying to replace the book.
 -
Parents are able to open a library account and check out books, including literature sets for use with lunch bunch reading groups.
